Women in the Wild: Payette River Adventure Retreat

June 19–21, 2026 · Garden Valley, Idaho

Three days on the Payette River. Twelve women. Nothing to prove.

You'll end up somewhere between a hot spring and a meadow of wildflowers, wet hair, no fancy filters. You'll eat real food cooked over fire. You'll sleep in a teepee with the river outside. Somewhere in the middle of all of it, probably not when you expect it, something in you will go quiet. Not the forced quiet of a meditation app. The real kind.

Who This Is For

Women in the Wild tends to draw women who are ready to step away from the noise, not for a vacation, but for a genuine reset. Many arrive feeling stretched thin, craving space to breathe again.

This retreat is for women who:

  • Long for deep rest and nervous system restoration in the quiet of the natural world

  • Want to move their bodies through yoga and mindful adventure

  • Feel the pull of wild places, rivers, forests, open sky

  • Are ready for honest conversation and real connection around a fire

  • Want to remember what it feels like to be grounded, present, and fully themselves

  • Want to learn a practical wilderness skill and feel the quiet confidence that comes with it

No prior yoga, meditation, rafting or wilderness experience required. Just a willingness to show up. All activities are optional - choose your own adventure.

"I cried on the drive home and didn't know why until I realized it was the first time in two years I'd felt like myself."

- Bridget, 2025 retreat guest - came solo from Boise

The Weekend

Friday, June 19 - Arrive & Land | Check in at 2pm

Settle into your riverside teepee. Let the sound of the river do its first round of work on you. That evening, dinner by the fire - good food, new faces, easy conversation. No agenda. Just the beginning of something.

Saturday, June 20 - Into the Wild

Sunrise meditation. Gentle yoga. Hearty breakfast. Then a full day on the water: a morning soak at Bonneville Hot Springs in the Boise National Forest, lunch in the mountains, and an afternoon rafting the South Fork Payette - including a stop at Kirkham, where natural hot springs pour directly into the river. Back at camp, dinner together as the light fades, then a sound bath under the stars and campfire circle to close the day.

Sunday, June 21 - Carry it Home | Check out at 3pm

Morning yoga and meditation. Breakfast and slow time - journal, walk the river, be quiet or not. Great day to book your private massage. A hands-on fire-starting workshop. Lunch. A closing circle to name what shifted.

"As I soaked in natural hot springs overlooking a waterfall cascading into the river below, surrounded by mountains, I remember thinking, 'How is this place even real?' Somewhere between that moment and the whitewater rafting adventure on the Payette River, I remembered who I was before life got so busy. I didn't just leave relaxed... I left feeling alive again."

- Diane, 2025 retreat guest - traveled from Minnesota with a friend to be here

"I'll be honest - I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into. The whitewater on the Payette River got my heart racing. the quiet morning yoga by the river settled it back down. We shared meals, we laughed, we told each other things we probably don't say enough out loud. I came home different. Being out of my element turned out to be exactly what I needed to feel like myself again."

- Laura, 2025 retreat guest - traveled from Minnesota to join us.
